A video of a road rage incident that took place in the SS15 area of Subang Jaya went viral on social media last month. The Ferrari driver eventually surrendered to the police after the incident. According to police sources, the accused, a 33-year-old man, appeared for questioning on the night of January 12. He was later released on police bail.

Although the entire incident took place in the early hours of December 27, the matter came to light after the video went viral. The incident has created both anger and concern in the public mind.

How the Incident Started

The incident started with a simple horn honking. A driver honked at a man standing in the middle of the road to signal him to move. However, the man did not take it well and reacted angrily.

Dashcam footage shows him then getting into his Ferrari and revving the engine. The situation soon heated up. It eventually turned into a chase and roadblock.

Risky Driving

Police said the accused was driving very close to the complainant’s car. He blocked the path of another vehicle by braking suddenly several times. As a result, the safety of road users was put at serious risk.

The investigation identified it as reckless and dangerous driving. Although the police say that the incident originally started from a misunderstanding, the consequences were serious.

Legal Position

An investigation is underway under Section 279 of the Penal Code for reckless driving and Section 341 for illegal detention. In addition, a separate investigation has been initiated under the Road Transport Rules.

Police said that the law is equal for everyone and no one is above the law, even if they drive a dignified car. Necessary action will be taken after the investigation is completed. The authorities are looking into the matter seriously.

Company’s Decision

After the incident, the concerned clothing brand issued an official statement. It was informed that the accused person has been temporarily suspended from all responsibilities. The company said that the behavior of people at the leadership level needs to be more responsible.

The accused himself also expressed his regret publicly and admitted that the incident was his wrong decision. He also said that it was not a propaganda tactic.

Netizens’ Reaction

The reaction on social media to the incident was intense. Many believe that some people consider themselves above the law due to money and power. Some have also indicated that the temporary suspension is a show-off measure. Many are calling for a boycott of the relevant brand.

According to them, such behavior will increase if strict action is not taken. As a result, the issue has now become not just a road rage, but a question of social responsibility and accountability.
