We know what it is like when it is not yet lunch or dinner and your stomach has started growling. If you’re in need of an energy boost to power through your work or simply looking for a satisfying snack to keep hunger at bay, why not give these treats a try that are sure to hit the spot.

Dry Fruits

Dried fruits are both healthy and crunchy, offering a variety of flavours such as strawberry, mango, blueberries, and cherries. They are readily available at supermarkets as well as other retail locations so grab a few to keep in your office or bags that is sure to come in handy when hunger strikes.

Zero Calorie Jellies

For those who are a bit more health conscious or just watching their calorie intake, why not give these zero calorie jellies a try? Sweet and refreshing with a jelly-like texture, these treats come in various flavours such as green grape and purple grape that will sweeten up day. Typically found at japanese stores like Daiso or Don Don Donki, pay a visit soon to give it a try!

Iced Gem Biscuits

We used to adore these and gobbled down so many when we were young, evoking a sense of nostalgia. Their small size makes them perfect for snacking, but they can be difficult to find.

If there isn’t an old school mamashop near you, Khong Guan sells them packaged as “Fancy Gems” which you can find in most supermarkets like NTUC, Giant and more so go hunting for some when craving strikes!

Kinder Bueno Mini

For those with a sweet tooth, chocolates are your best bet. If a full serving of Kinder Bueno feels like too much, give the mini ones a try – they’re perfect for popping into your mouth and convenient to take with you on the go.

Haw Flakes

For another blast to the past, this childhood sweet, made from the fruit hawthorn, offers a nostalgic alternative to your usual candy choices. With a sweet, slightly-tangy cranberry-like flavour with a tiny bit of chew, this is a great snack to munch on with plenty of tiny individual discs that you can pop into your mouth on the go.

These biscuits aren’t just delicious; they also come with various fillings like chocolate and vanilla. They’re incredibly satisfying when you’re hungry and pair perfectly with a glass of milk. As it goes, remember to twist it, lick it and dunk it (in milk of course) for the absolute best way to consume and enjoy this treat.

Flavoured Kit Kat

Normal Kit Kat can become mundane, so why not switch things up with a series of flavoured Kit Kats? Especially for matcha enthusiasts, my favourite is the Matcha Kit Kat that offers just the right amount of sweetness and very slight bitterness to tantalise your taste buds.

With Japan creating a multitude of kitkat flavours you can choose from, why not go on a hunt for as many different flavours to try? Remember to watch your calorie intake though or share a few sticks with your family and friends.
