The Snack That Started It All

In a story that sounds more like a comedy skit than real life, a family from India’s Pilibhit district, Uttar Pradesh, has become the talk of the internet.

The drama began on 30 August, when a woman named Sangeeta craved a samosa. Her husband, Shivam, however, returned home without the snack.

What should have been a minor disappointment quickly spiraled into chaos.

From Craving to Confrontation

The couple’s quarrel escalated until Sangeeta called in reinforcements—her parents, Usha and Ramladate.

The three allegedly threw insults and physically assaulted Shivam and his father, Vijay Kumar, rather than trying to defuse the situation. What started as a missing snack order had now turned into a full-blown family clash.

Panchayat Steps In

The following day, on 31 August, Vijay Kumar sought help from the village council in Anandpur. The meeting, led by former village head Awadhesh Sharma, initially appeared to bring the matter toward resolution.

However, negotiations collapsed, and tempers flared once more.

Violence Reignites

When Sangeeta allegedly attacked Shivam a second time with the help of her parents and maternal uncle Ramtotar, things reportedly became worse.

When Vijay attempted to protect his son, both father and son were reportedly thrashed with belts and beaten badly.

Viral Aftermath

The dramatic altercation, captured on video, has now gone viral online, leaving social media both shocked and amused at how far one craving for a fried snack could go.

Vijay Kumar has accused his daughter-in-law’s family of brutal assault, with the matter still unresolved.
