Authorities have recovered the bodies of two brothers who went missing after drowning in the sea in Pantai Kandis, Kelantan. The body of the younger brother, Ahmad Nuruddin Abu Wahab, was found in Pantai D’Or on Wednesday morning. The body of the older brother, Ahmad Badrul Naeem Abu Wahab, was recovered in the same area the day before.

Police said the two brothers were on a picnic with their families when the accident occurred. An atmosphere of mourning has descended on the area after the rescue operation.
Body Recovered
Bachok District Police Chief Mohamad Ismail Jamaluddin said that locals found the younger brother’s body at 7:10 am on Wednesday. The father of the deceased confirmed his identity on the spot. Later, medical workers declared him dead.

The body was sent to Hospital Pakar Universiti Sains Malaysia for an autopsy. As a result, the process to unravel the mystery of the deaths of the two brothers has begun.
Previous Events
Earlier on Tuesday, 17 February, the body of the older brother, Ahmad Badrul Naeem, was recovered at 12:52 pm. He was a firefighter by profession. Family members said that a total of 20 relatives, including two brothers, had gone to the beach for a picnic. However, they suddenly disappeared in the water. A search operation began immediately after that.
Rescue Operation Ends
The joint search operation by many agencies was declared closed around 9:30 am after the bodies of the two brothers were recovered. The authorities concerned said that the police, fire brigade and volunteers took part in the rescue operation.

The incident has caused deep grief among the locals. At the same time, there has been a call for increased vigilance regarding safety at the beach. The police have advised the public to be cautious and travel to the beach.
