The bodies of an elderly American couple were discovered inside a hotel room in Pattaya, raising questions about what happened during their final days. The pair, aged 85 and 65, had been staying in the Jomtien area for nearly a month before the incident came to light.

Hotel staff first became concerned late in the morning on March 31, when a strong and unusual smell was noticed outside the couple’s room. After repeated attempts to make contact failed, the situation was reported to local police, who quickly arrived with rescue teams to check inside.
A Disturbing Discovery Inside
When officers entered the room, they found the couple lying together on the floor beside the bed. Early observations suggested that they had been dead for several days before being found. A handwritten “Do Not Disturb” sign had been placed on the door, which may have delayed anyone from checking on them sooner.

There were no clear signs of a struggle or forced entry, according to initial police reports. The room appeared calm and undisturbed, adding to the mystery surrounding their deaths.
Signs Point to Health Concerns
Inside the room, authorities found a wheelchair, several pieces of medical equipment, and different types of medication. These items suggested that at least one of the couple may have been dealing with serious health issues.

Investigators also discovered a handwritten note in English. While officials have not shared its full contents, they believe it could provide important clues about the situation. For now, details remain limited as the investigation continues.
Investigation Still Ongoing
Police confirmed that the couple had not been seen for several days before their bodies were found. Staff members assumed they were resting, especially because of the sign on the door.

The bodies have since been sent for a full forensic examination to determine the exact cause of death. Although early assumptions suggest the possibility of medication involvement, authorities have not reached any final conclusion.
As the case remains open, officials continue to gather evidence and wait for autopsy results to better understand what led to this quiet but tragic end.
