“There, through the scanner and a body search, the wig was found, which contained more than 220 grams of cocaine that he intended to take to this country, and with this, criminal profits got hit,” Araque said.

The concealed cocaine, valued at over 10,000 euros (approx. S$14,000), was confirmed through a Homologated Preliminary Identification Test, which tested positive for the drug, authorities said.

Suspect Faces Drug Trafficking Charges

The man, who already had two prior court records for drug trafficking, has been charged with trafficking, manufacturing, and carrying narcotic substances.

He is currently in the custody of Colombia’s Attorney General’s Office.

Police emphasized that this arrest dealt a significant blow to criminal operations. “This important result has affected criminal finances and prevented the sale of more than 400 doses of cocaine,” authorities said.
