Chinese New Year Eve Robbery: Woman Dragged to Ground at Puchong Petrol Pump

A woman was robbed at a petrol station in Puchong Jaya, Malaysia, on February 10, just before the Chinese New Year, and a video of the incident went viral. The video shows a man on a motorcycle approaching her while she was filling up her car with petrol. The man returned a short while later and snatched her handbag.

The woman fell to the ground as a result of the struggle and later sought help from a driver behind her. She has since released the incident, urging everyone to be more vigilant.

 

Incident Details

At the beginning of the video, the victim was seen using a pump terminal. A motorcyclist passed by and apparently pointed at her. After some time, the same man returned while she was filling up her car. He then stopped the motorcycle and quickly snatched her bag.

The woman lost her balance and fell to the ground. The suspect then quickly fled the scene.

Significant Damage

The victim said that her bag contained important items, including her phone, wallet, house keys and car keys. As a result, the incident caused him great suffering. Although she suffered a minor injury to her knee after falling, she was able to quickly collect the necessary documents.

After the incident, she filed a complaint with the police. However, according to the latest information, the suspect has not been caught yet.

Cautionary Advice

She urged others to be careful from her own experience. She advised not to carry unnecessary things, especially when filling up at petrol stations. She said that it is safe to keep only the necessary cards, some cash and car keys. In addition, hiding the bag inside the car and keeping the doors locked can also reduce the risk. Because such a robbery can happen in an instant.

After the video went viral, many people expressed concern on social media. Many said that it is now important to be aware of safety even in crowded places. Some users expressed relief that the victim received quick help and praised the humane behavior of the driver behind her. 

Others believe that it was a risky decision to hang the bag on your body while refueling. Overall, netizens agree that even a small moment of carelessness can lead to big danger.
