Four years later, BTS came back to the United States and performed live. It was not a massive stadium show this time, but an intimate and exclusive event just to their most devoted fans. The band has collaborated with Spotify to produce a special experience known as Spotify x BTS: SWIMSIDE.

The festival was held in New York City at South Street Seaport. Approximately 1,000 of the best listeners were invited to attend. The venue offered a stunning sight of the Brooklyn Bridge, and the night seemed even more remarkable. Cold and light rain could not stop fans from enjoying all the moments.

A Long-Awaited Return

It was the first appearance of the BTS in the U.S. since the concerts of the BTS in 2022, with the title Permission to Dance. The leader of the group RM gave his feelings during a brief talk session.

He thanked them, and it was a privilege to be on an American stage once again. The crowd was moved by his words because many had been waiting years to be able to do so.

The seven members, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, also engaged in games and fun activities together before the show. The loose atmosphere enabled fans to get to know the group on a personal level.

New Music, New Energy

BTS also sung songs from their new album, “ARIRANG”, which was released on March 20. Songs such as 2.0, NORML and SWIM were full of energy to the audience.

The fans sang along, waved light sticks and had good association with the group.

This album is a significant visit by BTS. In 2022, the members had put a halt to group activities to finish their military service. Once finished in mid-2025 they reunited to create new music in Seoul and Los Angeles with high-profile producers such as Diplo.

Until this U.S. event, BTS had performed a huge comeback concert in Seoul, Gwanghwamun Square, and an audience of more than 100,000 people turned up to attend. Netflix also broadcasted the concert to fans in various nations across the globe.

Today, BTS is set to embark on a huge world tour in April. Although we have enormous stadiums to look forward to, this little concert in New York presented fans with an opportunity to spend a memorable night with the band.
