Bicycle Thrown from 12th Floor Injures Woman
A 43-year-old woman sustained head injuries after being struck by a bicycle thrown from the 12th floor of a public housing complex in Kuala Terengganu.

The incident occurred on the evening of March 25, 2025, at the People’s Housing Program (PPR) Padang Hiliran, a Malaysian public housing scheme designed to provide affordable accommodation for lower-income families.
Victim Was Disposing of Trash When Hit
The victim, Azuraini Yazid, who works as a kindergarten assistant at Tabika Kemas in Pasir Panjang, was on her way to dispose of trash at approximately 4 PM when the bicycle fell on her.
According to Harian Metro, her husband, Jusri Ibrahim, 48 received a call from their child, informing him that Azuraini was injured. Upon hearing the news, he rushed home immediately.

Her husband said that she suddenly collapsed and lost consciousness, with her head bleeding from the impact.
5 Stitches to Her Head, Now in Stable Condition
He also stated that Azuraini was then taken to the emergency unit at Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ), where she received five stitches in her head. Fortunately, her condition is now stable.

Investigation Underway to Identify Culprit
Authorities are investigating the incident to determine who was responsible for discarding the bicycle.
According to Kuala Terengganu District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Azli Mohd Noor, a resident of the complex admitted that the bicycle belonged to them but denied being the one who threw it from the 12th floor.
Based on police interviews, it was found that the bicycle had been left outside the owner’s home before an unknown individual threw it off the building.
As investigations continue, police are working to identify the individual responsible for the reckless act.
A Similar Incident in 2018
This is not an isolated case. A similar case occurred in 2018 when a 19-year-old named Muhammad Iqmal Abdul Razak was seriously injured after being struck by a bicycle tire thrown from an upper floor of the PPR Gombak Setia flats in Kuala Lumpur.
The incident happened while he was walking to work when the tire suddenly hit his head, leaving him with a deep wound that required 15 stitches.
