An alleged lack of prawns
Atrez, who describes himself as a rapper and a music producer, lashed out at a staff member of Springleaf Prata over an alleged lack of prawns in his $12.50 salted egg prawn prata. Some users had called him out for the way he spoke to the staff.
In a follow-up Instaagram story, Atraz said the incident revealed the “mat in him”.
According to Atrez, there were no visible prawns in the prata, save for a tail. In a video which he uploaded to TikTok, he shows the prata being dissected and asks “Can someone tell me where the fuck is the prawn?”.
Atrez then utters a Malay expletive before informing viewers that he had, in his own words, “told the worker to bring out the boss”. As 10 minutes had supposedly elapsed since his request, Atrez took it upon himself to meet the staff.
He carried his prata and walked across the length of the restaurant to the counter.
Atrez’ rudeness towards the Springleaf Staff
We set out Atrez’s words, which were directed at a staff member of Springleaf who was manning the counter, in full below:-
Hi. Where your boss?
Call your boss now, I ask.
10 minutes already, I waiting for what?
So this one you want me to what, throw at your face ah?
The last line was in relation to the prata that Atrez was unhappy with.
Tiktokers took issue with how rudely Atrez spoke to this staff member.
Many comments took the view that Atrez’s reaction was an overreaction.
There was 50g of Prawn added to the Prata – Springleaf Restaurant
A senior staff member explained to Atrez that 50g of prawn, which appeared to have been minced, was added to his prata. To address his concerns directly, the actual packet containing the minced prawn was brought out.
Clearly, this explanation failed to satisfy Atrez as he said the prawn looks “like a fuckin floss”. He also called the situation a “culinary disastrous world” (sic).
After the staff’s explanation, he turned the camera to the staff member and said “This the boss huh”. The staff member, who looked uncomfortable, turned away from the camera.
Altraz added that using a paste was “totally unacceptable” given the price point of his prata. Atrez’s video may be watched here.

Springleaf Restaurant calls our Atrez’ harsh tone
In a TikTok video, Springleaf responded to Atrez’ allegations. It said the manner in which Atrez spoke to the staff was unacceptable and harsh.
@springleafprataplace Hello everyone. we are aware of the video by @Atrez React . As we are unable to comment on the video due to a limit on words, here’s a video of our statement instead. Thank you very much.
The restaurant added that a verbal warning had been given to the staff for failing to comply with a standard operating procedure. However, it stressed that 50 grams of minced prawns was added to the dish.
It referred to a video posted by the Halal Food Hunt in 2020 which will show the ingredients that are used for the salted egg prawn prata.
A TikTok user who claimed to work for Springleaf confirmed that 50g of prawn will be used for the salted egg prawn prata

Atrez Doubles Down on his comments towards Springleaf Staff
Even after Springleaf’s explanation and apology, Atrez did not feel that he was in the wrong. For that matter, he double down on his comments. Amongst other things, he said that the harsh tone was “totally justified” and stated that the staff member was “lucky not to have the plate of disgusting salted egg prata on his face”.
Atrez’s posted his full response to Springleaf’s statement in a follow-up video on his TikTok page.
