Armed Robbery During Cash Counting
A courier company’s collection and operations hub in Meru, Klang, was robbed of RM46,000 (S$13,790) in broad daylight after three masked men armed with machetes stormed the premises.
The incident occurred at 12:26 p.m. on Friday, March 15, while employees were counting the day’s cash collection.
CCTV Footage of the Incident Goes Viral
CCTV footage of the incident posted by @/mhmmdhsm on X went viral, showing the three masked men rushing out of a blue car and charging into the courier hub.
Each carried a machete as they headed straight for the counter.
Employees were seen reacting to the sudden attack, with some attempting to fend them off.
Employees Fought Back with Chairs and Other Objects
As the robbers tried to seize the cash, workers in the hub grabbed chairs and other nearby objects, throwing them at the intruders in an attempt to drive them away.
Despite their efforts, the suspects managed to grab the money before fleeing.
Suspects fled in a Car with Fake Plates
According to Klang Utara District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner S. Vijaya Rao, the suspects arrived in a blue Perodua Bezza with fake license plates.

They stormed the premises, took the cash, and quickly fled.
Police Recorded Statements from Six Employees
Authorities have recorded statements from six employees as part of the investigation, Sinar Harian reported.
However, the three suspects remain on the run.
No Casualties Were Reported, Investigation Ongoing
No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. The case is being investigated under Sections 395 and 397 of the Penal Code, which covers gang robbery and armed robbery.
If convicted, the suspects could face up to 20 years in prison and whipping. Police have urged anyone with information about the suspects to come forward.
