What started as a peaceful morning at Petaling Jaya soon evolved into a tense and shocking situation when the robbery attempt at a goldsmith shop ended in gunfire. This accident occurred at around 11 a.m., when a man, who was suspected to be riding a motorcycle, came to the shop and walked into it carrying a weapon.

It was the opening time of the shop and no customers were present. The suspect who is armed with a knife is reported to have moved fast and probably, he is hoping that he would do something before anyone could retaliate. But the security guards who were on duty immediately spotted him.
Then a desperate struggle in the store.
The suspect was approached by one of the guards and a fight broke out almost immediately. It became a dangerous case where the guard was reportedly injured in the fight. The limited room in the shop did not help in managing the suspect who was armed and violent.

A second security guard was present and he responded immediately when he saw his colleague in distress. He took out his gun and shot two shots at the suspect. The silence of the place was destroyed by the sound of gunfire and the attempted robbery was suddenly stopped.
The defendant was critically wounded. The emergency assistance was summoned in time and he was taken to a hospital close at hand to be treated.
Nothing stolen, under investigation.
Although it was a dramatic incident, not a single jewellery was stolen in the shop. The robbery attempt was an absolute failure, and the suspect was not able to get anything.

Later on, authorities ruled that the man was declared dead soon after, arriving at the hospital. The police officers have since surrounded the area and started their investigation to know precisely how the situation was happening.
The case is still being investigated and the police officers are collecting information at the scene and interviewing the people involved.
