Motorcyclist Records Accident Scam Just After Johor Checkpoint

A routine trip from Singapore to Malaysia became a harrowing encounter for @soodabing, a motorcyclist who frequently shares his journeys on TikTok. As he approached the Johor checkpoint, his dashcam captured what turned out to be an elaborate accident scam, bringing to light the dangers that can lurk on seemingly ordinary rides.

“Msian bikers already waiting”

The motorcyclist sensed something was off as he neared the checkpoint. A group of people had their eyes fixed on his bike, pointing and seemingly coordinating among themselves. This unsettling behavior was just the beginning of a carefully orchestrated scam designed to ensnare unsuspecting travelers.

The Confrontation

Once past customs, the motorcyclist’s journey took a dramatic turn. He was side-swiped by one of the motorcyclists from the group, seemingly to target him. The offending rider then tried to pick a fight, accusing the motorcyclist of causing an accident, and prompting him to stop.

Another biker randomly appeared, joining in to accuse him as well, and he was cornered by the two of them.

Despite the shock and confusion, the motorcyclist remained composed, knowing his dashcam had recorded everything. He told them he had video proof of the whole incident, and only then did they leave him alone. This footage would soon be essential in disproving the false accusations thrown his way.

Unexpected Allies

Amid the confrontation, local witnesses emerged as unexpected allies. Initially, a Malaysian rider was pressured by the scammers to testify against him.

However, another individual stepped forward, communicating fluently in Bahasa Melayu and presenting the dashcam evidence. This shifted the narrative, with the coerced witness siding with the motorcyclist. A Malaysian Chinese bystander also joined in, leading to a heated exchange that exposed the scam.

Mixed Reactions

Online, the incident has spurred conversations about the importance of having a dashcam. One commenter highlighted the “Importance of having a camera/dashcam nowadays,” implying how crucial video evidence can be.

Another pointed out the deliberate nature of the scam: “The fact that they pointed at the SG bike like instructing the rest to go after him.”

However, some comments were skeptical about the incident, with users questioning what happened before the footage began. They also pointed out their curiosity about the unedited audio.
