A Lucky Find Among The Trash
Finding something useful in a rubbish chute might not sound like a big deal, but finding an Iron Man Nano Gauntlet is a different story.
Singapore content creator Joey Rebekah Chok (@joeychokdx) recently caught viewers’ attention after discovering an Iron Man-themed gauntlet among discarded items near a rubbish chute. Instead of walking past it, she picked it up and decided to see whether the toy still worked.
“I JUST HAD TO PICK IT UP WHEN I SAW IT?! DON’T JUDGE ME!!” she wrote in the caption of her video, which was posted on Aug 14.
The video begins with her companion reacting in disbelief as Chok spots the item. After confirming that it came from a rubbish chute, Chok explains that similar Marvel merchandise can be expensive.
The gauntlet was dusty, but that did not stop her from trying it out. Once she put it on, the toy lit up and produced sound. She could also close the fingers into a fist, making the discovery even more exciting.
“Eh, it’s working, eh!” she exclaimed.
Her reaction quickly turned into full Marvel-fan mode.
“Infinity Stone, Bro!”
After testing the gauntlet, Chok proudly showed it off while shouting, “Infinity stone, bro!”
She also joked that it was a lucky day and referred to herself as a “rubbish girl” after finding the working toy among discarded items.
Her companion, meanwhile, had a much more practical response. “Please clean your hands after that,” the friend reminded her.
Chok later revealed that she had actually seen a similar Nano Gauntlet at Toys “R” Us and was surprised by how much Marvel merchandise could cost. Finding one for free in a rubbish chute therefore felt like an unexpected bargain. The discovery was even more meaningful because Chok is a major Marvel and Iron Man fan.
In another video, she explained that she cried when Iron Man died in Avengers: Endgame. She also recreated the famous snap moment with her friend Hazel while wearing the gauntlet.
“Iron Man tried to save the world, and he just took the infinity stones from Thanos,” she said.
For a fan who genuinely loves the character, stumbling across an Iron Man gauntlet in the trash was clearly more than just finding an old toy.
She Took It Home And Cleaned It
Chok later confirmed that she brought the gauntlet home.
Knowing where it came from, she said she thoroughly cleaned and sanitised the item before keeping it. That detail also became a talking point among commenters. Some viewers joked about what the previous owner might think after realising the toy had been thrown away.
One commenter wrote, “What if the person regrets throwing?” while another joked about bringing a Stormtrooper hat home after finding one.
Other viewers simply wanted to know where the lucky rubbish chute was.
The comments also included plenty of playful Marvel references, with one person asking whether Chok would appear in a future Doctor Doom movie. She responded jokingly that she would join if invited. The unexpected discovery has since turned into a relatable little treasure-hunting story. While most people might see an old, dusty toy and move on, Chok saw something worth rescuing.
And judging by the working lights, sounds and Infinity Stone-style design, the discarded gauntlet still had plenty of superhero energy left.
