Kamal Haasan couldn’t help but feel moved by the fact that he and Rajinikanth can finally start their collaborative projects.

The actor-producer, who appeared at the launch of the upcoming film, “Dharman,” shared that he and Rajinikanth have had plans to work together in the past, after receiving a lot of offers from other productions to do so.

“We decided that one day, one of us should produce a film for the other,” he said.

Although it had been 40 years since they spoke about it, Kamal said that he approached Rajinikanth with the idea again after establishing Raaj Kamal International Films.

“Those two youngsters who once sat under a neem tree at AVM Studios have travelled this far,” he said, adding that the project is a special milestone in their friendship.

It is noted that aside from “Dharman,” Kamal and Rajinikanth will also be working together in Nelson Dilipkumar’s “KHxRK”.
