A reckless driver caused a scary accident after travelling against the flow of traffic on a major highway in Malaysia. The dangerous incident happened on Sunday, 31 May, and was caught on a car dashcam.
The shocking video has now gone viral across social media platforms, leaving many viewers online deeply concerned about road safety.
Shocking Highway Collision
The incident took place around noon on the Damansara–Puchong Highway, commonly known as the LDP. According to the video footage, a black Honda sedan was seen driving the wrong way down the middle lane of the busy highway. The dangerous situation quickly led to a collision near the Taman Perindustrian Puchong LRT station.

Moments before the crash, another vehicle driving ahead of the victim barely managed to swerve out of the way to avoid the oncoming sedan. When the victim noticed the black Honda heading directly toward them, the driver immediately sounded their horn.

This was done to warn the wrong-way motorist and other nearby road users of the immediate danger. Despite the warning, the black sedan struck the vehicle. Inside the victim’s car, two women experienced the terrifying impact but fortunately escaped the crash completely unharmed.
Driver Flees Scene
Instead of stopping to check on the passengers or deal with the accident, the driver of the black Honda chose to flee the scene. The sedan simply continued driving against the flow of traffic and sped away. Following the hit-and-run, the driver of the damaged car safely pulled over to the roadside. They stopped to inspect the external damage to their vehicle and review the recorded dashcam footage.

Driving against traffic is a major offence under Section 42 of Malaysia’s Road Transport Act 1987. Motorists convicted of reckless and dangerous driving face heavy penalties.
These include large fines, jail time, and losing their driving licence. Local authorities have reminded the public to stay alert and follow all traffic laws. At this time, the Royal Malaysia Police have not released an official statement.
