A Surprise That Didn’t Last Long
A Malaysian woman tried to pull off a heartfelt surprise by posing as a waitress — but her father saw through it in seconds.

The moment, believed to have taken place in Malacca, showed just how strong that father-daughter bond really is.
One Look Was Enough
In a TikTok video posted by @serikyoo, the young woman approached her parents’ table wearing a face mask and apron, carrying a plate of omelette.

But as she set the dish down, her father paused. He looked straight at her — and immediately knew.
Emotions Spill Over
Breaking into a smile, she moved in to hug him. That was all it took.

Both parents were soon in tears, with her mother standing up to embrace her as the family shared an emotional reunion after nine months apart.

The father later lowered his head, visibly overwhelmed, wiping away tears.
Months Away At Sea
According to the caption, the woman had been working as a seafarer and had not seen her family for nine months.
“almost 9 month onboard. reaction ayah mahal sbb ayah jarang menangis macam tu 🥹 its very tough but after all , i survived because of them 🤍😭“
“Dad’s reaction is expensive because he rarely cries like that,” she wrote, thanking the restaurant for helping her pull off the surprise.
Internet Feels It Too
The clip has since racked up millions of views, with many saying they cried along.
Some pointed out how quickly her father recognised her, calling it proof of just how close they must be.
