The US Central Command (CENTCOM) on Tuesday released a new video showing its forces allegedly striking Iranian missile launchers as part of the ongoing ‘Operation Epic Fury’.
Footage shows strikes against what the US claims are military vehicles. The exact date and location of the attacks in the video could not be independently verified.
“The Iranian regime can try to hide their missile launchers, but US forces won’t stop looking. When we find them, we’re taking them out,” CENTCOM wrote on platform X.
CENTCOM earlier said that the US forces have struck more than 5,000 targets in Iran and damaged or destroyed more than 50 Iranian ships in the first 10 days of the operation.
Tensions escalated in the Middle East after the US and Israel launched joint military operations against Iran on February 28, with President Donald Trump vowing to ‘raze their missile industry to the ground’.
Tehran said it was responding with strikes on Israel and US assets in the region, with explosions reported in countries right across the Gulf region. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was confirmed dead in a strike.
The escalations follow three recent rounds of nuclear talks between Iranian and American officials, one held in Muscat and two in Geneva.
