Malaysia is a country where you can experience nature, history, culture and modern entertainment in the same trip. Different states and cities of the country present different attractions for tourists. Some have mountains, caves and forests, while others have historical structures and colonial architecture. At the same time, modern theme parks, shopping malls and entertainment centers are equally popular with tourists.
Therefore, tourists from different parts of the world come to visit Malaysia every year. Especially the states of Perlis, Selangor, Melaka, Johor and Kedah are well known to travel lovers. Each place has its own beauty and characteristics, which makes the trip more memorable.
Perlis
Although Perlis is the smallest state in Malaysia, its natural beauty attracts tourists. The Perlis Snake Sanctuary and Research Center located here is the center of curiosity of many visitors. In addition, Perlis State Park and Gua Kelam Cave are unique examples of nature and geological beauty. When you go to these places, you can experience dense forests, mountain paths and mysterious caves.

In addition, the Kangar bus station is easily accessible from various cities. At the same time, there is a quiet village called Kampung Wai, where you can enjoy the surrounding natural scenery by walking on a beautiful bridge.
Selangor
The state of Selangor is suitable for travel all year round. However, for those who prefer a relatively dry climate, the best time is from May to September. Accommodation in the Klang Valley region of this state is quite convenient. Various budget hotels are available, especially in the Petaling Jaya and Shah Alam areas. Sunway Lagoon, National Zoo of Malaysia, and I-City are among the most popular destinations for families.

These places offer entertainment as well as educational experiences. Moreover, since Selangor is safe, solo travelers can also roam here comfortably.
Melaka
Melaka holds a special place in history as one of the oldest European colonies in Southeast Asia. Founded in the 15th century, the city later saw the influence of Portuguese, Dutch and British rule. As a result, the imprint of those three powers is clearly visible in the architecture and culture of the city. The city center is home to old churches, castle ruins, and colonial-style streets. It feels like you’ve stepped into a piece of Europe in the middle of Asia.

At night, Melaka becomes even more attractive with its lanterns and lights. Three days are considered sufficient to explore this small and walkable city.
Johor
Johor Bahru is a popular destination for families and vacationers. The Legoland Malaysia Resort located here is a large theme park, with various rides and water-based attractions. Nature lovers can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sea at the Danga Bay area. In addition, Johor Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in Southeast Asia.

The city is also known for shopping. Johor Premium Outlets, AEON Tebrau City, and Mid Valley Southkey are popular large shopping complexes. In addition, City Square JB and Paradigm Mall also have various brand shops and food outlets.
Kedah
Kedah is a state in the northwestern part of Malaysia. It borders Perlis to the north and Thailand to the northeast. Perak and Penang to the south and southwest. The state has a total area of about 9,492 square kilometers and includes the mainland and the islands of Langkawi. Rice fields cover much of the mainland, which is the main agricultural activity here.

For this reason, Kedah is often called the ‘Rice Bowl’ of Malaysia. Due to the warm and humid climate, farming and rural life here are attractive to tourists all year round.
