A dramatic traffic accident in eastern Turkiye has drawn wide attention after a car lost control on an icy road and crashed into another vehicle. The incident happened in the Yesilyurt district of Malatya, where winter conditions had made roads extremely slippery.

The moment was captured on video and later shared online, showing how quickly an ordinary drive can turn into a frightening situation during harsh weather.
Car Loses Control on Icy Road
During a period of freezing temperatures in the area. In the video, one car can be seen skidding uncontrollably on an ice-covered road before slamming into a second vehicle.
The force of the impact caused the second car to flip over and crash into a nearby pole. The scene unfolded within seconds, leaving witnesses stunned.
Vehicles Thrown Into Chaos
After the collision, both cars came to a sudden stop, blocking part of the road. Nearby drivers slowed down immediately, while pedestrians rushed toward the scene.

Snow and ice were clearly visible on the road surface, making it difficult for vehicles to brake or steer properly. The road appeared calm just moments before the crash, highlighting how deceptive icy conditions can be.
Emergency services were alerted soon after the accident. Fortunately, early reports indicated that no serious injuries were recorded, despite the violent nature of the crash.
Both vehicles suffered heavy damage, and the flipped car drew particular concern from bystanders. Police officers later arrived to secure the area and manage traffic while the damaged vehicles were removed from the road.
Winter Conditions Raise Safety Concerns
This incident was not the only alarming road event reported during the winter period. In a separate case mentioned by regional media, a retired doctor was forced to deliberately crash his own car after it began accelerating uncontrollably on a mountain road when the brakes failed.

These incidents have drawn attention to the dangerous combination of icy roads, mechanical issues, and challenging terrain during winter months in Turkiye.
Authorities in Malatya have continued to monitor road conditions closely as cold weather persists.

The viral videos from Yesilyurt have sparked public discussion about winter driving risks, especially on untreated or shaded roads where ice forms quickly.
While traffic later returned to normal, the crash remains a striking reminder of how winter weather can transform familiar streets into hazardous zones within moments.
