Many students on the university campus are facing financial difficulties and are going to classes hungry—this scene may not be seen by many, but it touches the heart of one lecturer. So, he took the initiative to create a system where any student can take food without hesitation.

As a result, a cupboard set up on the campus has now become a silent shelter for hungry students.
The Vow Begins
Lecturer Mohammad Nurizzuddin Nuh said in his Threads post that three years ago, he saw some students sitting in the cafeteria without eating. They said in words that they did not have money to buy food. From that moment on, he vowed that no student would have to go to class hungry again.

Then he set up a cupboard full of food on the campus. There were six baskets of ready-to-eat food, which any student could take without question. He wrote, “Take it if you are hungry. No need to scan or write a name.” Although many have wanted to help, he said that this initiative is completely personal and not associated with the university.
Helping Students
Many students attend classes on an empty stomach every day. Due to financial constraints, they avoid the cafeteria. So this cupboard gives them relief.
As a result, this initiative quickly became the center of discussion across the university. Gradually, other teachers are also interested in helping.

Over time, many have come forward to donate food. However, he said, the initiative is completely private and not associated with the university. Therefore, he is unable to provide a QR code or public donation.
He hopes that someone will continue this project even after retirement. In addition, the mentee students have been helping him since the beginning.

Netizen’s reaction
The pictures have gone viral on social media. Many commented that they prayed and wished the teacher well. Some also wanted to know where the food is kept on campus, and they want to do the same initiative at their child’s university.

Some said that their university also needs such an initiative. Others shared their experiences and said that when they see hungry students in shops, they give them food for free.

Some wanted to know if the public can somehow participate in this project.
However, despite the obstacles, he vowed to continue the project as long as he lived. He hopes that someone will continue it after his retirement. For three years, his mentees have also been helping him manage this work.
