Early Morning Brawl at Seremban KTV

A man in his 40s was fatally stabbed and beaten during a group altercation at a karaoke outlet in Taman AST, Seremban, Malaysia, on Sunday, 23 November, around 4.29am.

According to reports, the fight erupted when a suspect allegedly requested a time extension at the outlet, but employees denied the request because he had an outstanding bill with the establishment that had not been settled.

“We believe the fight involved 10 to 12 men, and one of them stabbed the victim,” Seremban District Police Chief ACP Azahar Abdul Rahman told Bernama.

CCTV Footage Shows Chaotic Assault

Footage from the premises’ closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, which has gone viral on social media, shows the victim trying to escape after being chased by a group of men. The one-minute, 26-second video captured chairs and a box being thrown at him.

He appeared to clutch his chest in pain but stood for about 30 seconds before collapsing. An employee of the entertainment centre was seen attempting to chase the group away.

“The victim sustained injuries and fell unconscious after the fight. He was then rushed to the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital but was pronounced dead by doctors,” ACP Azahar said.

Police Investigation and Autopsy Findings

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. A medical team from Hospital Rembau confirmed that the victim died of a stab wound to the chest following an autopsy. He was self-employed and in his 40s.

ACP Azahar said authorities are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the suspects and determine the cause of the incident.

Suspects Detained

On Monday, 24 November, police detained two suspects believed to be involved in the altercation. They have been remanded for five days while investigations continue.

“We are still looking for other individuals to help in investigations. Any individual with information on the incident is urged to come forward to assist in investigations,” ACP Azahar said.
