Lipa Denies Dismissing Agent
Dua Lipa has dismissed claims that she severed ties with music executive David Levy due to his pro-Israel stance. An article alleged the pop star dropped Levy after he co-signed a letter urging Glastonbury Festival to ban Irish rap trio Kneecap, known for their outspoken support of Palestine.

Lipa countered the report on Instagram, stressing that Levy has not represented her since 2019. She condemned the article as “false” and “deliberately inflammatory,” accusing the tabloid of using the genocide in Gaza as clickbait.
Criticism of Levy’s Actions
While rejecting the article’s claims, Lipa made clear she disapproved of Levy’s attempt to silence Kneecap. “I do not condone the actions of David Levy or other music executives toward an artist speaking their truth,” she wrote.

Her agency, William Morris Endeavor (WME), also denied the report, confirming that Levy had only held an advisory role in recent years and stepped away from Lipa’s projects earlier in 2025.
Tabloid Updates Story After Backlash
Following widespread criticism, the news site updated its article, correcting its description of Levy as Lipa’s current manager. Since 2022, Lipa’s day-to-day management has been handled by her father, Dukagjin Lipa.

Despite the correction, the singer blasted the coverage as “profoundly disturbing,” stressing that global tragedies should not be exploited for headlines.
A Longstanding Voice for Palestine
Lipa has consistently spoken out against Israel’s genocide in Gaza, describing it as genocide. In 2023, she signed the Artists4Ceasefire open letter with more than 180 musicians, urging U.S. President Joe Biden to call for an immediate halt to the killings.

In subsequent posts, she has condemned the targeting of civilians, writing earlier this year after a deadly airstrike on displacement camps:
“Burning children alive can never be justified. The whole world is mobilising to stop the Israeli genocide. Please show your solidarity with Gaza.”
Her latest statement reaffirmed that position, closing with: “It will always be Free Palestine.”
