Man Wakes Up from 5-Day Coma After Hearing Siti Nurhaliza’s Voice

What was meant to be a peaceful rest on the sands of Bondi Beach turned into a life-threatening event for Aimi Nasruddin, a 33-year-old Malaysian man visiting Australia.

On July 9, while at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Aimi suddenly collapsed and lost consciousness.

Unexpectedly Passed Out While Resting

According to NST, citing Berita Harian, Aimi said he had sat down to rest when he suddenly passed out. He was quickly rushed to a hospital, where he was diagnosed with a heart attack and placed in a coma.

Prior to this, he received cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at the scene before being rushed to the hospital.

His condition remained critical for five days, during which doctors closely monitored him.

Family’s Effort Leads to Waking Him Up

As Aimi remained unresponsive, his family searched for ways to reach him emotionally.

His father, hoping to spark a reaction out of Aimi, reached out through contacts to request a personal message from Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza, Aimi’s longtime idol and one of Malaysia’s most beloved singers.

Fortunately, the family received the voice message within an hour.

A Voice That Moved Him, Literally

Aimi recalled that hearing the voice note became the first sign of his recovery.

“The moment I heard the voice message, my right hand began to make small movements. The doctors described it as a positive response,” he said.

In the voice note, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza encouraged Aimi to stay strong, keep up his spiritual recitations, and not lose hope. She thanked him for his support and reminded him that, with God’s will, he could recover.

Aimi described that moment as a turning point in his condition, and one that reignited his will to fight.

Returning to Life After the Coma

Twenty days after the incident, Aimi shared an update through ERA (radio station) saying he had returned to Malaysia and was slowly regaining his routine.
