Grandmother Li Becomes Online Sensation After Exercise Demo
At 92 years old, a woman in China has amazed many with her vigorous daily fitness routine, which includes doing 200 push-ups and 100 sit-ups.
The elderly woman, known only by her surname Li, is a retired kindergarten teacher living in Jianghua Yao Autonomous County, Hunan province.
Li made headlines after demonstrating her fitness routine during a health event at the Yao Ethnic Minority Medicine Festival in early June, according to Jianghua TV.
Push-Ups, Sit-Ups, and a Hula Hoop
Despite her age, Li easily performed the exercises for reporters who visited her home. She completed 100 sit-ups on her bed and 200 push-ups on the floor.

Though she admitted her form might not be perfect, Li said she never skips a day and always makes sure to complete her 200 push-ups.
Besides her workout, Li also spins a hula hoop with ease. She explained that regular indoor exercise suits her best due to frequent rainy weather.

Home Remedies and Daily Habits That Help
Along with her exercise, Li maintains other wellness routines. She shared that she bathes her feet in hot water every night, a habit she says helped relieve her from frequent leg cramps.
Hair Turning Black and Improved Health
What surprised many is Li’s claim that her hair, which had turned white years ago, is now partially turning black again.
While this phenomenon lacks scientific backing, she believes it’s a sign of her improving health.
“My hair turned white many years ago. But some of it turned black recently,” she said, according to SCMP.
Background in Education and Lifelong Movement
Li graduated from college in Changsha, Hunan, in 1959 and worked as a kindergarten teacher for decades.
She attributes her fondness for movement to her teaching days, stating, “I like doing the type of movements kids usually do.”

A Message of Discipline and Longevity
Li’s commitment to staying active has touched people both in China and beyond, gaining attention across social media and news outlets.
Though her movements are not perfect, she sticks to her routine with determination. Her story shows how consistency and a positive attitude can help anyone stay strong despite their age.
