Urgent bathroom breaks in public can often lead to embarrassing situations, but one Bangkok motorbike taxi driver’s experience went far beyond the usual discomfort. In a bizarre turn of events, a passenger chose to urinate on his bike instead of asking to stop.
A Ride That Took a Strange Turn
On November 10, 2024, Korn, a 32-year-old motorbike taxi driver, picked up a passenger outside Bangkok’s Marble Temple (Benchamabophit Dusitvanaram Temple), taking her to Taling Chan. What should have been a routine ride soon turned into an uncomfortable and shocking ordeal.
Urinated on His Bike Seat
About 2 kilometers into the trip, Korn began to feel his trousers becoming wet. When he stopped to check, he discovered that his passenger had urinated on his seat.
Confused and upset, Korn confronted the passenger, asking the passenger to take responsibility for what happened.
Confronting the Passenger
In a video Korn posted online that was later shared on a Facebook group page, he can be heard confronting the passenger, demanding that she pay the 87-baht fare (3.34 SGD) and clean the seat.
The passenger, who is a trans woman according to The Thaiger, ignored his requests. She instead called her father to arrange for another motorcycle.
She not only refused to pay but also challenged Korn to file a legal complaint, insisting that she would not clean the seat.
In the video, Korn, clearly upset, said,
“If you need to urinate, you must tell the rider. You can do it, but why would you pee on the rider? Whether it’s a mental or physical issue, you should wear a diaper.”
The Mystery of the White Powder
In an interview with Channel 7, Korn also mentioned noticing white powder on the passenger’s nose at the start of the ride, but he chose not to comment on it at the time.
Additionally, no further details were provided about its nature or how it might have affected her behavior during the ride.
No Legal Actions Filed
Despite the bizarre encounter, Korn decided against pursuing legal action and instead focused on raising awareness about the importance of communication between riders and passengers.
He hopes that others will learn from this experience and be more transparent about their needs during a ride.
