Beluga whales, also known as white whales, are a unique species of cetaceans that inhabit the Arctic and sub-Arctic waters of the world. They are known for their distinctive white color and for being very sociable and friendly towards humans.
These amazing creatures have been known to help people in need and one such heartwarming incident took place in Norway, where a beluga whale helped a woman retrieve her phone that had fallen into the water.

According to Insider, the incident occurred in May 2019, when Ina Mansika, a student from Hammerfest, Norway, was taking a stroll with her friends by the Hammerfest harbor. While they were walking, Mansika accidentally dropped her phone into the harbor. As she watched her phone sink into the water, she was distraught, as it contained all her precious memories and photos.
Just when she thought her phone was lost forever, a curious beluga whale swam towards her and her friends. The whale, who had been hanging around the harbor for a few days, seemed to have taken an interest in the group. As they played and interacted with the whale, Mansika mentioned to her friends that she had lost her phone.
To their surprise, the beluga whale suddenly dove into the water and within moments, retrieved the phone in its mouth, and returned it to Mansika. The entire incident was captured on camera and soon went viral with the repost on Tiktok, with people around the world amazed at the intelligence and kindness of the beluga whale.
