One person was killed and two others were seriously injured in a horrific attack at a restaurant in Sungai Bakap, Penang. The attack took place at around 4:30pm on Monday (30 December). According to witnesses, a group of masked men suddenly entered the restaurant and attacked with sharp weapons.

The incident spread panic in the area, and other customers in the restaurant fled in all directions. Police and emergency services arrived at the scene soon after the incident and brought the situation under control.
Sudden Bloodshed
According to reports, about 15 masked men attacked the three people while they were peacefully eating their food. The attackers used sharp weapons, causing severe bleeding on the spot. Locals said the entire incident happened in just a few minutes.

After the attack, the attackers quickly left the scene. Locals have expressed deep concern over such sudden violence.
Death on the way to Hospital
One of the injured was a 59-year-old man, who died on the way to the hospital with serious injuries. According to doctors, his injuries were very serious. The other two injured are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

Their condition is stable but under close observation. Medical authorities said the injured are being given the best treatment.
Police Investigating
Penang police chief Datuk Azizee Ismail confirmed the incident. He said the incident is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which is murder. The police have already collected video footage of the incident and statements from witnesses. The motive behind the attack is still unclear. However, the police have assured that the suspects will be identified soon.

Videos Circulated on Social Media
Several videos circulated on social media after the incident, showing the injured in a bloody state. In one video, one person was seen lying in critical condition. When these videos quickly went viral, it created more panic in the public mind.
The police have requested to the witness to come forward to assist in the investigation.
